“A 5x5 lace closure is a closure that is made from lace with 5 inches wide by 5 inches deep size. It generally closes off a wig or weave and allows you to have a natural looking part. 
This “square” shape is ideal for creating your desired part.
Closures typically have a rounded shape towards the back which allow you to situate it perfectly on the crown of the head. 
The benefit of the 5x5 closure is that it provides all the advantages of a 4x4 closure with more parting space and versatility or styling options.
Keep in mind with a 5×5 closure, only the front 5 inches having lace create a hairline. This means the side of the head doesn’t have lace and needs extra styling.”
